If you don’t want to use this function, you can generally deactivate it in the options. The app is completely functioning without the need for speech recognition.
When using the speech input function for the first time, the app requests the access to the microphone and speech recognition. If you don’t allow it in the first place, you need to go to you device setting to enable the app to use speech recognition and microphone later.
